A systematic review of the literature indicates that survivors of childhood, adolescent, and young developed cancer are at risk for lower educational achievement and unemployment. It is recommended that all survivors receive regular screening for educational and employment outcomes.

Abstract
The National Cancer Found, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Cancer Society, and the North American Clan of Cardinal Cancer Registries collaborate annually to provide updated information about cancer occurrence and trends in the U.s.. Part I of this year's report highlights the connected declines in cancer incidence and mortality among men and in cancer mortality amongst women. It notes that differences in rates and trends by race and ethnic group remain, and progress in reducing cancer mortality has not occurred for all sites.Meet also pages 2801-14.

This comprehensive, population-based description of osteosarcoma identified important differences in incidence, survival, pathologic subtype, and anatomic site amidst age groups and quantified the touch of osteosarcoma in Paget disease or as a second cancer on incidence and mortality rates. These findings may accept implications for understanding the biological science and epidemiology of osteosarcoma.

Abstract
Cardinal nervous organization (CNS) disease recurrence in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is a rare but devastating outcome. This article reports that intravenous methotrexate can be safely administered concurrently with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone with rituximab (R-CHOP) and is associated with decreased risk of CNS recurrence in loftier-adventure patients.

Abstract
To appraise the value of front-line imatinib in Philadelphia chromosome-positive astute lymphoblastic leukemia, 55 elderly patients (median age, 68 years) were randomly assigned to induction therapy with either imatinib (IndIM) or multiagent, historic period-adjusted chemotherapy (Indchemo), followed by coadministration of imatinib and consolidation chemotherapy for all patients. Results of induction were significantly superior in patients randomly assigned to IndIM with a consummate remission rate of 96% vs l% (P = .0001) and a lower incidence of severe adverse events compared with Indchemo (39% vs 90%; P = .005), although this initial benefit did non translate into improved survival with subsequent combined imatinib and chemotherapy consolidation.
